The 40 Spotted Pardalote

is an endangered bird species and is found only in Tasmania, with Bruny Island having the most colonies. The Forty Spotted Pardalote is a small bird which lives exclusively in stands of white gum, Eucalyptus viminalis. A recovery programme to conserve their habitat is underway on the island.
